Have you ever felt like you ran ahead of God and then made a “big” mistake?

Like a small child when learning to run in the momentary joys of running with the wind, inevitably trips and stumbles over his own feet and falls grazing his hands and knees. This pain inflicted causes him to cry out with many tears for his daddy to help him.

This is the very picture of us.

Sometimes, we run ahead of God and end up falling over and piercing ourselves through with sorrows. We make mistakes and blame ourselves, others or even God. However, all it takes is to cry out to Him and He will heed your cry. When we cry out to God, He is the first one on the scene to bandage us and wipe away our tears.

“He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

Once we repent and rise up from where we have fallen over, the greatest mistake you will ever make in your life, God will use it to bring about the greatest good in your life.

“Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me.” (Micah 7:8)

Lets think about it…

The greatest mistake that was ever made by humanity was that we would crucify our own Creator on the Cross.  The Lord knew that this would happen and yet He used that very same mistake to bring about the greatest good of all towards His creation – salvation to the world!

Another example is when King David made a very big mistake committing adultery with Bathsheba, although he suffered and the loss of his son conceived from that mistake, after his repentance the Lord brought forth the future King Solomon from his wife Bathsheba.  However, after our repentance we must trust and patiently wait upon God, He will guide your steps even after a fall.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you” (Psalm 32:8).

Always remember this:  you may have fallen, but you’ve never fallen outside of the palm of God’s hand and because of this you’re in the perfect position for Him to lift you up again and again.

Can you believe that even though you made a mistake God is greater than your mistake and can use the very thing that made you suffer to bring about good in your life?

“Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death,
Bound in affliction and irons—
Because they rebelled against the words of God,
And despised the counsel of the Most High,
Therefore He brought down their heart with labor;
They fell down, and there was none to help.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,
And broke their chains in pieces.
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
Psalm 107:10-15
